A proposal that doesn’t aim to please, hurt or disturb.
These works are not decoration: they are a call.
They want to wake you up, move you, leave you with uncomfortable questions.
They are open dialogues, visual debates.
They invite you to stop and look at the harm we cause — to ourselves, to others, and to our home: the Earth.
It’s time to pause. It’s time to change.
Nearly 100 years ago, they realized I wasn’t the enemy.
They began to value me for the extraordinary material I am,
and understood that I deserve to be everywhere…
except as trash in the ocean or in nature.
Sincerely, the plastic bag.
Today, I’m displayed in museums.
They gave me shape, color, meaning…
but I’m still the same:
the same plastic bag.
All I needed was a different gaze
to become art.
Yes, I believe in ghosts. Because we created them.
Plastics with dirty souls,
floating between the sea and our guilt.
I wasn’t born to scare…
but I ended up becoming the reflection
of everything we didn’t want to see.
It was used for everything.
To wrap, to clean, to throw away.
White and transparent plastic —
a symbol of order and hygiene.
But no one wanted to see where it ended up.
It piled up in silence,
polluting every corner of the planet.
Unless we do something now…
with every little bag, every straw, every wrapper,
we are slowly serving ourselves our own waste.
Because if we don’t stop,
the next dinner will be plastic.
And the menu… we’re writing it ourselves.
Their instincts already know there is no future if we keep going like this.
For them, we will stop.
They weren’t born to inherit the Earth—
they were born to tell us:
it’s time to learn how to use it.
We took everything from her.
Now we try to imitate her with what’s left.
All disguised.
As if we could return what we stole.
But nature can’t be copied.
It must be respected.
Knots of the Soul
Exhibition held at the Comune of San Giorgio a Cremano, Naples, for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
This series is not meant to be simply admired.
It was born from a part of me that chose not to stay silent.
A torn thread, a broken promise gently rewoven.
There are wounds, and memories that never healed.
These knots are not disasters.
They seek to be seen, acknowledged, embraced.
Because when you stop fighting what hurt you,
you begin to see what made you strong.
Amid chaos, calm appears.
And with it, finally, peace.
They no longer drown me — they drive me.
The same ones that used to drag me down, now lift me up.
I recognize them, I breathe them in, and let them flow
through the wind that moves my sails.
They were never enemies.
They were wild horses I had to learn to ride.
After years without touching them,
I felt freedom…
from the same prison where I once locked myself in.
It was confusing.
I felt fear, joy, and sadness.
And I spoke to the colors.
I speak of reunion…
with myself.
I promise to love and respect you.
To love you until the very last day of my life.
Every day I will remind you how much I love you.
I will protect you, take care of you.
When you fall, I will lift you up.
I never want to be without you.
I choose you, forever—
because without you, I am nothing.
This promise wasn’t made one day like any other.
It was made in front of a canvas,
each stroke soaking in that love.
It was a storm…
and in searching for it,
I found art.
With it, we conquered kings, ruled empires.
The only force above them… was divine.
Yes, we were goddesses.
We didn’t kneel; we drew.
We stood tall, while they crawled.
Love yourself so deeply,
that you remember you are a goddess…
and you rise again.
I don’t hide my scars,
I wear them like medals.
Not for the pain they caused,
but for what I learned by healing them.
I’ve stitched them with threads of courage,
embroidered them with patience,
and sealed them with self-love.
Each one reminds me
not to forget myself,
to choose me—always,
and to keep stitching what still deserves to stay.
That’s where everything begins.
Where we learn to love… or to fear.
To hug… or to stay silent.
Childhood is not forgotten.
It is inherited.
We are not guilty of what we received,
but we are responsible for what we leave behind.
Let’s repair.
When I find it, everything feels in place.
Even my messes…
don’t disappear,
but at least
they stop being heavy.
No, we are not victims.
We are brave.
We are wise.
It’s just that sometimes…
we must fight from disadvantage.

every time one of us
breaks the cocoon,
shakes off fear,
and flies.
Because they taught us
that freedom means
to say goodbye, even with wings.

what matters is to look back and ask
where we come from and how we got here.
Each work is a chapter in that great human story.
There was no time, no light, no name. Only an immense silence.
Maybe it was an explosion. Maybe it was a divine breath.
But from that nothing… we were all born,
even if we tell it with different languages and beliefs.
Was it seven days? Seven million years?
Does it matter?
Here we are—
breathing, feeling, searching for meaning.
Creation never ended.
It keeps happening,
within us.
A man. A message. A cross.
Jesus marked a before and after—in history and in the soul of millions.
We live in years After Christ,
whether we believe in Him… or not.
We are a mix.
We are chaos.
We are the beauty of our differences.

I grew up in an art studio, surrounded by brushes, wood, and turpentine.
My father, José Vera, is an artist who, at 80 years old, still paints with passion—despite having Parkinson’s.
From him, I learned that art is never abandoned… it’s breathed.
I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember.
But the real awakening came beneath my bed, drawing with my twins.
I felt a deep need: to leave something for them and for the world.
A small grain of hope to make this society more human, more emotional, less superficial.
That’s how Soviet Vera was reborn—my essence, my voice:
a visual artist and Emotional Brand Strategist.

I discovered my purpose: to transform emotions into messages that awaken.
